Voronin Arctic Maritime Institute, a branch of Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping, together with the Arkhangelsk Branch of FSUE "Rosmorport" held the IV Festival of the Arctic Navy in Arkhangelsk on May 15, 2021.

As part of the festival, the Arkhangelsk Branch of FSUE "Rosmorport" organized excursions to the icebreaker Kapitan Chadaev in the free board format for groups of schoolchildren and cadets of maritime educational organizations.

During excursions on the icebreaker, the second assistant to the captain of the icebreaker Dmitry Gurin, while talking about the features of the icebreaker's operation during the winter navigation period and the history of the vessel, answered numerous questions from the children who visited the icebreaker for the first time.

Schoolchildren and cadets visited the vessel's premises and the captain's bridge, got acquainted with the icebreaker's design and the work of its equipment and main mechanisms.

Some children promised that when they grow up and undergo professional training they would definitely return to the icebreaker to work as part of the highly qualified crew of the icebreaker Kapitan Chadaev.
