The Arkhangelsk Branch reports that services for correcting deviation of magnet compasses on vessels in the seaport of Arkhangelsk have been started.

The services for correcting magnet deviation are rendered by professional pilots-compass adjusters of the Arkhangelsk Branch. They have certificates of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution “Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping” for independently carrying out deviation operations on ships and vessels of all types.

Magnet deviation is being corrected on the deviation range in the water area of the seaport of Arkhangelsk with the use of the Eri method, which is applicable for compasses of any systems and which does not require the use of auxiliary devices.
