Arkhangelsk Branch given aids to navigation in the seaport of Arkhangelsk

Pursuant to a resolution taken by Russia’s Federal Agency for State Property Management Interregional Territorial Administration for Saint Petersburg and Leningrad Region aids to navigation in the seaport of Arkhangelsk were assigned to FSUE “Rosmorport” on the basis of the right of economic management and placed under Arkhangelsk Branch management.

Particularly, the Kuisky marine light located on Kuisky Cape of Dvina Gulf in the White Sea was given to the branch. This marine light is designed for determining a vessel’s position at sea or its orientation against it within the stated visibility range on the approaches toward the seaport of Arkhangelsk.

Six range marine lights located on Mudyug Island were given to the Arkhangelsk Branch. They include:
- the front and rear leading marks of the range “Mugyug Towers” designed for marking the ax of vessel movement (320,2º - 140,2º) on the “Mudyug Towers” channel while calling at the seaport of Arkhangelsk;
- the front and rear leading marks of the range “Mudyug Turning” designed for marking the place of turning from the channel “Mudyug Towers” to the channel “Vasilyevsky”;
- the front and rear leading marks of the range “Vasilyevsky Turning” designed for marking the place of turning from the channel “Vasilyevsky” to the channel “Ustyanovsky”.

Earlier, the marine lights and leading marks were used by Russia’s Navy Hydrographic Service.
