By order of the Russian Border Services Agency dated 08.09.2014 No. 194-OD a marine cargo permanent multilateral checkpoint through the state border of the Russian Federation was opened and its boundaries were established.

The checkpoint was set in Sabetta Seaport in accordance with Government of Russia Regulation dated 26.11.2013 No. 2203-r.

Earlier by Government of Russia Regulation dated 04.07.2013 No. 1128-r Sabetta Seaport was opened for foreign vessels entry.
