By the Government of Russia Order dated 09.10.2013 No. 1838-r boundaries of the Arkhangelsk Seaport were amended in connection with the exclusion from the seaport water area the plot located in the water area of the Northern Dvina river of the White Sea basin to be sent in separate water use of the State-owned Federal State Institution "Border Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Arkhangelsk Region".

Currently, the Arkhangelsk Branch on the basis of the water use contract uses in its work one water body in the water area of the Arkhangelsk Seaport with the total area of almost 0.2 km², accounting for 0.026% of the total area of the Arkhangelsk Seaport waters.
