Rescue Operation in the Seaport of Arkhangelsk
30.07.2013In the control room of the FSUE "Rosmorport" Arkhangelsk Branch at 10 Hours 20 Minutes of 26 July, 2013 it was reported the discovery in the waters of the Severnaya Dvina River of a rubber boat with a man on board, no signs of life. The boat drifted towards the Arkhangelsk Seaport berths.
Five minutes after receipt of the message the "Problesk-2" undersized motor boat of the Arkhangelsk branch took the boat in tow and brought it to the dock. It turned out that there was lying a prostrate man for 8 days trying to get under oars to Arkhangelsk from the village of Nizhnyaya Zolotitsa, located on the coast of the White Sea, about 120 kilometers from the entrance buoy of the Seaport of Arkhangelsk. The victim was given first aid, after which he was transferred to the EMERCOM rescuers.
