Representatives of FSUE “Rosmorport” took part in the Arkhangelsk Sea Partnership

The Arkhangelsk Sea Partnership organized by the Arkhangelsk Regional Administration together with the EU project “North Sea Corridor”, was held in Arkhangelsk on October 27-28, 2009. The main topic of the meetings was cooperation of regional administrations and business in the field of development of transport infrastructure of the North-West of Russia and Europe.

Among the participants of the meetings were assistant to the authorized representative of the President of Russia in the North-West Federal District A.I. Polukeev, chief counsel of the authorized representative of the President of Russia in the North-West Federal District Y.S. Avdeev, assistant to Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Y.V. Zvorykian, members of the EU transport committee, regional administrations, customs, seaports and railway carriers, oil and transport companies, research institutes, associations of seaports and ship owners from Great Britain, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Russia.

FSUE “Rosmorport” was represented by Deputy Director of the Arkhangelsk Branch G.F. Bogdanov, assistant to Director of the Murmansk Branch O.S. Starodubtsev.

The participants of the meetings discussed the ways to increase the cargo traffic along the North Sea Way, and the current shipping situation, prospects of using of the Russian ice breaking fleet for exploration of the Arctic Region.
