Construction in the Seaport of Sochi of the facilities complex of the international center of maritime passenger and cruise shipping is implemented in order to increase international passenger traffic and cruise shipping to the city of Sochi, the inrush of foreign tourists coming to Sochi on large cruise ships. Each year, the facilities complex will be able to handle 179 cruise and 463 ferry vessels.
As part of the project the following works are planned:

1) formation of the Seaport of Sochi operating water area of 64 hectares with a seabed level of -8.7 to -11.5 m;
2) formation of the seaport area of 6.4 hectares;
3) formation of the area for placement of Federal Protective Service of Russia facilities of 0.4 hectares;
4) formation of the area for placement of Federal Security Service of Russia facilities of 0.7 hectares;
5) construction of the protective quay consisting of three sections with a total length of 1 km (length of the section No. 1 is 355 m, the length of section No. 2 is 375 m, the length of section No. 3 is 270 m), with a top level of +5.2 m;
6) construction of the breakwater with length of 200 m, with a top level of +4.7 m;
7) construction of the vertical bank protection with length of 190 m, with a top level of +3.7 m;
8) construction of the slope bank protection with length of 460 m, with a top level of +4.5 m;
9) construction of the bank protection in the cruise harbour with length of 260 m, with a top level of +2 m;
10) construction of the cruise vessels berth No. 1 with length of 355 m, with a seabed level of -10.4 m designed to handle vessels with a length of 295.5 m, a width of 32.2 m, a draft of 8 m, passenger capacity of 2,114 people;
11) construction of the cruise vessels berth No. 2 with length of 375 m, with a seabed level of -11.5 m designed to handle vessels with a length of 311 m, a width of 38.6 m, a draft of 8.8 m, passenger capacity of 3,100 people;
12) construction of the ferry complex berth No. 3 with length of 165 m, with a seabed level of -8.7 m designed to handle vessels with a length of 134 m, a width of 21 m, a draft of 6 m, passenger capacity of 500 people;
13) construction of the port fleet berth with a length of 180 m fleet with a natural seabed level of -4.9 m to -7 m designed for mooring of service and support (port) fleet vessels;
14) construction of the Federal Protective Service of Russia berth with a length of 252 m, with a seabed level of -5 to -7 m designed to serve the Federal Protective Service of Russia vessels;
15) construction of the Federal Security Service of Russia berth with a length of 102 m, with a seabed level of -5 to -7 m designed to serve the Federal Security Service of Russia Border Guard vessels;
16) reconstruction of berths No. 1-10, 13, 14 with a total length of 1,365 m;
17) construction of the checkpoint over the Russian border building with an area of more than 15.6 thousand m², the capacity of almost 1.5 thousands people per hour;
18) construction of the office building with a total area of more than 4.5 thousand m² designed to accommodate the Seaport of Sochi administrative services;
19) construction of the following navigation equipment aids objects:
     a) new lightning linear navigation alignment Sochinsky approach that includes two new lightning navigation signs;
     b) two new lightning linear navigation signs Wave breaker West and Cruise vessels harbour South;
20) installation of seven new floating warning signs (lightning buoys), moving to new locations lightning buoys No. 2296 and 2297, reconstruction of the existing two lightning navigational signs North Pier and Berth No. 5-A as well as the Sochinsky lighthouse;
21) commissioning of the navigation light South Pier with the placement of the light-optical devices at the top of the Sochi Seaport VTS tower;
22) dismantling of:
     a) front and rear lightning signs of the Sochinsky directional linear navigation alignment;
     b) front lightning sign of the Sochinsky West linear navigation alignment;
     c) front lightning sign of the Sochinsky East linear navigation alignment;
     d) South Pier lightning navigation sign;
     e) Dipper lightning navigation sign.

The port facilities under construction comprise an approaching canal, water areas of the auxiliary berths, coastal aids to navigation, a control-correcting station, and are designed to provide for:
- execution of a range of technological and organizational steps to enable reception of sea and river cargo supplied in the framework of the arrangement of the South and Tambey gas-condensate deposit;
- construction of a seaport and a liquid natural gas plant from 2014 till 2018;
- functioning of the seaport along with the operation of the South and Tambey gas and condensate deposit

Construction of Sabetta Seaport is divided into two stages:

Stage I: construction of the preliminary period facilities:
a) Facility No. 1:
Approaching canal:
- length: 4 km ;
- width: 420 m;
- seabed level: -12 m,
including the turning point with 446 meters in diameter and the estimated bottom level of -12 m, and a construction pit for unloading of pontoons with the following dimensions: 189 mto 254 m and the estimated bottom level of -23,5 m.

b) Facility No. 2
Water area of the future auxiliary berths:
- estimated bottom level at berth No. 1.1: -5 m;
- estimated bottom level at berth No. 1.2: -5 m;
- estimated bottom level at berth No. 2.1: -5.1 m;
- estimated bottom level at berth No. 2.2: -5.1 m;
- estimated bottom level at berth No. 3.1: -12 m;
- estimated bottom level at berth No. 3.2: -12 m;
- estimated bottom level at berth No. № 4: -7.1 m

c) Facility No. 3
Coastal aids to navigation including the front and back gate signs with the length of 20 m and 25 m respectively.

d) Facility No. 4 
Control-correcting station (GPS differential correction station + GLONASS) with the following specifications:
- bandwidth: 283.5 - 325.0 kHz;
- output power: 750 Wt;
- antenna: T-shaped
- working temperature: from – 30°C to + 55°C;
- station operational range: 200 miles.

Stage 2: construction of the main facilities of the seaport.

- dredging at facility No. 1 performed in the amount of 1,023,863.2 cubic meters in the area with the length of 3.4 km along the canal axis limited by the fathom lines of 7 and 12 meters (according to Baltic System of Heights 1977) and the width of 240 meters, up to the seabed line of -12 meters (according to Baltic System of Heights 1977).
- bottom mapping of the dredging area at the approaching canal, in the mouth of the Sabetta-Yakha River, at the berth water area and in the temporary soil storage area with the total size of more than 6.7 hectares performed.

October 2012:
- dredging at facility No. 1 performed in the amount of 405,278.7 cubic meters in the area with the length of 3.4 km along the canal axis limited by the fathom lines of 7 and 12 meters (according to Baltic System of Heights 1977) and the width of 240 meters, up to the seabed line of -12 meters (according to Baltic System of Heights 1977).
- bottom mapping of the dredging area at the approaching canal, and in the temporary soil storage area with the total size of more than 3.7 hectares performed.

From November 2012 to June 2013 dredging is not conducted due to ice conditions.

Reconstruction of the Maritime Station building in the seaport of Murmansk is carried out in order to strengthen the structures of the building, create conditions for servicing people with limited mobility, separate service areas for passengers heading for inland lines and international cruise lines, create additional areas for placing services of the seaport of Murmansk captain.

Project implementation will contribute to improving conditions for passenger servicing both on inland and international lines in the seaport of Murmansk, will create conditions for the development of maritime cruise tourism in the Murmansk region

The Maritime Station Building Reconstruction project in the seaport of Murmansk envisages performance of:

     1) partial disassembly of the building (dismantling);

     2) strengthening foundation soil (tarring);

     3) installation of reinforced concrete foundation slab and building re-supporting (replacement of pile foundations with the slab on natural base);

     4) strengthening walls of the building;

     5) installation of monolithic slabs;

     6) building on the third floor of the building;

     7) roofing;

     8) baffles installation;

     9) installation of technological equipment and engineering systems;

     10) facade finish and installation of architectural elements of the facade;

     11) landscaping territory around the building;

     12) external power supply network installation;

     13) external network backup power installation;

     14 external water supply networks (primary and backup water supply) installation;

     15) external communication networks, laying of fiber-optic communication lines;

     16) external networks of household and storm sewage with installation of local treatment facilities.

 

According to the results of the Maritime Station Building Reconstruction:

     a) conditions will be created for access to the station building of people with limited mobility;

     b) internal lines area for 50 passengers with two rows of windows waiting room and a snack bar of 16 seats will be built. On the ground floor in internal lines area apart from the waiting room there will be located:

          - cash desks rooms;

          - referral service and station duty officer rooms;

          - luggage storage room;

          - Sanitary facilities.

     On the second floor:

          - foyer with seating for waiting;

          - first-aid station;

          - room of kiosk of typographic products.

     c) area of international cruise lines with land checkpoints across the state border of the Russian Federation with an estimated throughput of 120 passengers per hour in one direction will be arranged. For passengers in international lines area there will be:

          - passport and customs control rooms with seats for waiting;

          - sanitary facilities in the regime and non-regime zones.

     Rooms will be provided with information stands and racks for filling necessary documents, including passenger customs declarations.

     d)  the existing building will have another floor, in rooms of which service of the Captain of the seaport of Murmansk and a conference room for 30 people will be placed.

Organization of mooring of FSUE “Rosmorport” icebreakers in the period of absence of ice operations

A project for constructing a berth complex for mooring of icebreaker fleet vessels envisages building:

 

1. Berth No 89 designed for mooring of eight icebreakers of 546 meters in length and the seabed level at the berth of 12.0 meters;

2. Berth No 90 with the wing designed for mooring of four icebreakers of 243 meters in length and the seabed level at the berth of 7.0 meters;

3. Reconstructing the water area of Coal Port on the approaches towards Berth No 89 and Berth No 90 with the seabed level of 12 meters and 7 meters;

4. Two marine lights of three meters in height.

As part of the project of construction of federal property facilities of the Sochi Seaport cargo area in the Mzymta river mouth the construction of bank protective and enclosing hydraulic structures is planned meant for the protection of the cargo area waters of the wave impacts, as well as equipping the cargo area with the navigation equipment aids in order to ensure the safety of navigation in the water area of the Sochi Seaport.
Construction of bank protective and enclosing structures facilities in the cargo area of the Sochi Seaport in the Mzymta river mouth and equipping the cargo area with the navigation equipment aids is performed in two stages:

First stage:
- construction of the bank protection of slope type with length of 132 m, with a top level of +7.5 m;
- construction of the bank protection of vertical type with length of 288 m in order to prevent erosion of the formed territory, with a top level of +7.8 m;
- construction of the south-west quay consisting of two sections:
     a) the first section of 480 m with the subdivisions of 160 and 320 meters. The pier level of the subdivision of 160 m is +7.9 m and of the subdivision of 320 meters is +9.5 m;
     b) the second section of 546 m with the subdivisions of 404 and 142 meters. The pier level of the first and second subdivisions is +9.5 m;
- dredging works in the water area of the cargo area in order to bring the bottom level to -9.2 m.

Second stage:
- construction of the east quay in the form of trestle on shell piles consisting of two rows of piles and a tube rabbet with length of 116 m, a width of about 16.7 m and the pier level of +7.9 m;
- construction of the palls No. 1 and 2 and the pier level of +7.8 m;
- construction of the bank protection of slope type in the root of the east quay with length of 45 m, with the pier level of +7.5 m;
- setting the following marine lights: Imeretinsky East, Imeretinsky West, Imeretinsky, as well as the Imeretinsky North navigation light and floating warning signs.

Berth No 88 that is under construction in the seaport of Big Port St Petersburg within implementation of the project for reconstructing the container terminal area in the seaport is designed for unloading and loading multi-tonnage containers on container carriers of the Kapitan Serykh type of 161.43 meters in length, 25.2 meters in breadth and 9.8 meters in load draught. The estimated quantity of vessel calls at Berth No 88 makes up to 180 calls per year. The capacity of the terminal for container handling is of 300.000 TEU per year.

The draft for constructing Berth No 88 in the seaport of Big Port St Petersburg envisions:

 

a) the construction of Berth No 88 of 205 meters in length, 40 meters in breadth with the seabed level of the water area at the berth of 12 meters;

b) the installation of the marine light of three meters in height of CH CHO P type.

The project for developing cargo passenger motor ferry and railway ferry terminals in Baltiysk, including the construction and the post-operation of the container terminal with the capacity of 300.000 TEU per year in the seaport of Kaliningrad, is aimed at reconstructing the existing facilities of the port infrastructure and new facilities that will allow handling design vessels of 160 meters in length, 26 meters in breadth, up to 8.5 meters in load draught, up to 22.000 tons in deadweight for handling delivered container cargoes in the amount of up to 300.000 TEU per year

Under the project, to the extent of FSUE “Rosmorport” liability for reconstructing the existing facilities of the port infrastructure and new facilities Berth No 2 is expected to be reconstructed with building crane runways of 180 meters in length due to the necessity to change the category of the berth by service condition from II to O-k (from ferry to cargo) and to install the Libherr P131L-Super container rail-mounted unloader with the capacity of 45 tons and with the rail gauge of 15.3 meters that is designed for handling (transshipping) sea containers.

The anti-wave facility – fencing spur is a sloping profile structure of a riprap with the outside wave trap of the figurate blocks, intended for the perception of wave loads from the standard project storms for the safe mooring of cruise vessels for the period of the Winter Olympic Games 2014 in the waters of the Seaport of Sochi cargo area in the Mzymta river mouth
Construction of the anti-wave facility at the water area of the Seaport of Sochi cargo area in the Mzymta river mouth is performed in two stages:

First stage:

a) construction of the fencing spur with length of 142.6 m with the following features:

     - on the upper slope with length of 134.63, with the top level of +6 m;
     - on the lower slope with length of 169.7, with the bottom level of -9.4 m;
     - dam height above the bottom: 16 m;
     - dam height above the water level: +6 m;
     - top level of the sloping structure of the protective spur from the entrance to the seaport: +6 m;
     - top level of the sloping structure of the protective spur from the seaport cargo area: from +3.75 m to +4.09 m;

b) retaining wall installation of the piles-tubes with diameter of 1220:12 scored at 1300 mm, combined at the top with the head part of the reinforced concrete, with the following dimensions:

Second stage:

a) construction of a platform with a height of 6.5 m for the navigation sign;

The port protection structure is designed for protecting the Southern Region water area in the seaport of Ust Luga (the water areas of the container terminal, the complex for transshipment of liquefied hydrocarbon gas, the South-2 multi-profile transshipment complex and the motor railway ferry complex) from ice action, drifts and waves.

The port protection structure is built in two stages:

1st stage: the construction of Plot No 1 of the port protection structure with the following technical characteristics:

– the length of Plot No 1: 1057 m;

– the level of the top of Plot No 1 that is variable in length: on the bigger part of Plot No 1 the level is of +5.50 m (Bank Protections), the diminished level of the top is of +4.50 m (Bank Protections) has been approved for Plot No 1 of 340 m in length that is located to the turning point, to shoreward;

– the port navigation sign of Column type of eight meters in height is expected to be installed in the front of Plot No 1;

2nd stage: the construction of Plot No 2 of the port protection structure with the following technical characteristics:

– the length of Plot No 2: 1293 m.

– the level of the top of Plot No 2: +5.5 m (Bank Protections)

– the port navigation sign of 10 m in height with autonomous power supply is expected to be installed in the front of Plot No 2.

– a berth for boats mooring with design depths at the berth wall of 5 meters is expected to be built in the area of Plot No 2 top.

The aids to navigation base (Rybachiy Settlement) in the seaport of Kaliningrad is currently under reconstruction in order to increase the level of maintenance and repair of aids to navigation, storage and reparation of aids to navigation that ensure navigation safety in the Kaliningrad Marine Canal in the seaport of Kaliningrad.

The implementation of the project will help to create an up-to-date technologically equipped base, which will ensure normal conditions for the Kaliningrad Directorate specialists dealing with maintenance, storage and reparation of aids to navigation.

3. building sewage treatment facilities with the capacity of 6 HP/sec;

4. building a sewage pumping station with the capacity of 21.6 cbm/h;

5. reconstructing a refueller shed with entrance roller shutters provided with a wicket door and a window;

6. building a pumping fire-fighting water supply station, an underground concrete construction with the capacity of 55 cmb/h;

7. reconstructing a coating booth;

8. building a paint storage room;

9. building a welding shed;

10. building an EH unloading post with the capacity of 3.2 tons, designed for loading and unloading aids to navigation;

11. building a package delivery boiling room with the capacity of 64 kW;

12. constructing a water processing building;

13. building a confined well of 120 m in depth with a deep-well pump of 2.5 cbm/h;

14. building a diesel power plant of package delivery with the capacity of 75 kW;

15. building an electric hoist shed with the capacity of two tons, designed for storage and movement of plastic buoys;
