Strategy of Russian Port Infrastructure Development

     The development of port capacities in the Russian Federation is carried out within the Draft Strategy on the Development of Russian Seaport Infrastructure Till 2030 by implementing different investment projects aimed at reconstructing the existing facilities of the port infrastructure and building new sea terminals. The Draft Strategy has been worked out by FSUE “Rosmorport” in accordance with Russian Transport Ministry Order No 167 of July 30, 2010 and approved by the Maritime Collegium at the Russian Government.

     For the period to 2030 the priorities of the development of port capacities are

     * to provide accelerated growth of terminals of primary importance (container and coal terminals);

     * to ensure the development of harbors in the main sea basins of the country;

     * to eliminate disproportions in the development of approaching railways and motorways to seaports.
