Pilotage Services

     Pilotage activity of FSUE “Rosmorport” is one of the major statutory activities of the enterprise. The enterprise provides pilotage services in 51 seaports of Russia.
     The pilotage services in the seaports of Russia are provided by the following branches of FSUE “Rosmorport”:
     Arkhangelsk Branch (seaports of Arkhangelsk, Mezen, Naryan-Mar, Onega and Sabetta); 
     Astrakhan Branch (seaports of Astrakhan and Olya); 
     Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch (seaports of Azov, Anapa, Gelendzhik, Eysk, Kavkaz, Kerch, Novorossiysk, Rostov-on-Don, Sochi, Taganrog, Taman, Temryuk, and Tuapse);
     Crimean Basin Branch (seaport of Evpatoriya, Feodosiya and Yalta);
     Far-Eastern Basin Branch (seaports of Nakhodka, Posyet, Vladivostok, Vostochny and Zarubino);   
     Makhachkala Branch (seaport of Makhachkala);
     Murmansk Branch (seaports of Kandalaksha and Murmansk); 

     North-Western Basin Branch (seaports of Big Port of Saint-Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg, Ust-Luga, Vyborg and Vysotsk); 
     North-Eastern Basin Branch (seaports of Anadyr, Vanino, De-Kastri, Nikolayevsk-on-Amur, Magadan, Okhotsk, Pevek and Sovyetskaya Gavan).
     Petropavlovsk Branch (seaport of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky); 
     Sakhalin Branch (seaports of Kholmsk, Korsakov, Nevelsk and Shakhtersk); 


     In addition to pilotage services in the seaports of Russia, FSUE “Rosmorport” provides services of ice pilotage for single vessels or as part of a convoy, with an icebreaker or without it, in the waters of the Northern Sea Route.


     Pilotage divisions of several branches of FSUE “Rosmorport” also provide additional pilotage services on removing deviation.

Deviation removal services are provided by the following branches of FSUE “Rosmorport”:

     Arkhangelsk Branch;

     Murmansk Branch;

     North-Western Basin Branch



     Quality of pilotage services provided by FSUE "Rosmorport" branches meets all international and national standards. All pilots have gone through training required by Merchant Shipping Code of the Russian Federation, Statute on sea pilots approved by the order of Mintrans No. 462 of November 6, 2021 and by IMO Resolution 960(23) of 05.12.2003. That was pilots of FSUE "Rosmorport", who safely piloted vessels, which carried cargo for Olympic facilities construction, and cruise liners, which hosted guests and the staff of the Games, while preparation of the Olympic Games 2014 in Sochi.     
       The staff of the branches pilotage divisions numbers more than 600 people. FSUE "Rosmorport" constantly provides pilots with training and professional development in such leading marine institutions of Russia as Admiral Makarov State Maritime Academy (St. Petersburg), Admiral Ushakov Maritime State Academy (Novorossiysk), Admiral Nevelskiy Maritime State University (Vladivostok), Private Autonomous Nonprofit Educational Organization "PRISCO Training Center" (Nakhodka). In order to arrange ice pilotages of vessels in the Northern Sea Route waterways, in accordance with recommendations of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Administration of the Northern Sea Route 7 ice pilots of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Arkhangelsk Branch underwent training and were succsessfully assessed.
     The enterprise invests greatly in its own pilot training base, as well. Its branches have purchased and actively implement "Delta-Farvater" software to train pilots and examine their knowledge. In 2010 the enterprise installed navigation simulator in Ust-Luga seaport, equipped with hardware and software suite for mathematic simulation of shipping, which helps to prepare pilots to navigate large-capacity tankers in different conditions. 
     Aiming at pilotage services material and technical base upgrade, FSUE "Rosmorport" provides branches pilotage divisions with modern vessels and vehicles, transmission facilities, electronic mapping systems, and, of course, life-saving appliances and working clothes.
