Actions on the Day of Memory and Mourning were held on the vessels and facilities of FSUE "Rosmorport"

On June 22, on the Day of Memory and Mourning, memorial events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War were held at vessels and facilities of FSUE "Rosmorport" and its subsidiaries.

On the sailing training vessels of the enterprise Mir, Nadezhda, Khersones and Professor Khlyustin the line-up of cadets and a minute of silence were held, during which the State Flags of the Russian Federation were lowered on the vessels. On board there was a broadcast of an archival audio recording of the appeal of Yu. Levitan "Announcement of the outbreak of war as of 22.06.1941" as well as metronome sounds on the background.

During the day, videos dedicated to the Great Patriotic War were broadcast on screens installed on the sailing training vessel Nadezhda, and then an evening screening of war films took place on the sailing training vessel Khersones. In the evening a memorial concert, organized by cadets, was held on the board of the sailing training vessel Mir.

The "Minute of Silence" action was supported by the crews of the icebreakers Kapitan Khlebnikov, Moskva and Magadan, as well as by the crews of the vessels Sakhalinets, Rumb, Portovik-3 and Aquamarine of the FSUE "Rosmorport" Far Eastern Basin Branch. On the vessels, a broadcast of the appeal of Yu. Levitan and metronome sounds on the background was also organized.

The broadcast was also carried out on the following vessels: North-Western Basin Branch - icebreakers Viktor Chernomyrdin, Murmansk, Novorossiysk, Vladivostok, Kapitan Nikolaev, Kapitan Sorokin, Mudyug, Ivan Kruzenstern, Kapitan M. Izmailov, Kapitan Zarubin, Yuri Lisyansky, Kapitan Plakhin, Tor, Saint Petersburg, Ermak, on the pilot vessel Saint Petersburg, on a number of auxiliary and dredging vessels; Murmansk Branch - icebreakers Admiral Makarov, Krasin, Kapitan Dranitsyn, on icebreakers Kapitan Chechkin of the Astrakhan Branch and Dixon of the Arkhangelsk Branch, as well as on the vessels of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch and Anadyr Branch.

The cruise liner Knyaz Vladimir ("Black Sea Cruises" LLC), which has about 500 passengers on its board as of now, joined the action. As part of the event, tourists were previously told about the action and the history of the Day of Memory and Mourning. The liner also hosted a patriotic concert dedicated to the Great Patriotic War. The crew congratulated the children of the war and the blockades on board of the liner.

Some vessels of the enterprise also took part in the "Victory Rays" action - the spotlights were lighted on the vessels. The Onego Shipyard also joined the action.

Besides, the employees of the branches organized local actions: feature films and documentaries dedicated to the Great Patriotic War were shown in wardrooms and canteens of icebreakers of the Murmansk Branch. In memory of people who died in the Great Patriotic War employees of the Astrakhan Branch lowered red cloves into the waters of the Volga-Caspian Sea Shipping Canal.
