Information on FSUE “Rosmorport” icebreaker support at Russian seaports as of January 21, 2019

Since the beginning of the 2018-2019 navigation in Russian freezing seaports FSUE “Rosmorport” icebreakers have provided support for 2.430 vessels.

The main volume of work has been carried out in the Azov Basin where since the beginning of the winter navigation the icebreakers – the Kapitan Demidov, the Kapitan Zarubin, the Kapitan Chudinov, the Kapitan Kharchikov, the Kama and the Kapitan Moshkin have provided support for 1.825 vessels.

The icebreakers of the enterprise provide support for vessels in the Arctic Basin: in the Kara Sea the Krasin icebreaker have provided support for 15 vessels while in the seaports of Arkhangelsk and Onega and in the White Sea the icebreakers – the Kapitan Yevdokimov, the Kapitan Chadaev, the Kapitan Kosolapov and the Dikson have provided support for 108 vessels. The Moskva icebreaker has provided support for 16 vessels in the seaport of Sabetta.

The icebreakers – the Semen Dezhnev, the Kapitan M. Izmailov, the Ivan Kruzenshtern and the Mudyug have provided support for 282 vessels in the Gulf of Finland.

The icebreakers – the Kapitan Chechkin, the Kapitan Metsaik and the Kapitan Bukaev have provided support for 151 vessels in the seaports of Astrakhan and Olya and on the Volga Caspian Marine Shipping Canal.

Since the beginning of the winter navigation the Magadan and the Novorossiysk icebreakers have provided support for 33 vessels in the seaport of Magadan and in the Tatar Strait.

The FSUE “Rosmorport” world’s largest diesel icebreaker fleet, which includes 35 icebreakers of different power, make all-year-round access to Russian freezing seaports.
