Information on FSUE “Rosmorport” icebreaker support in Russian seaports as of February 18, 2019

Since the beginning of the 2018-2019 navigation in Russian freezing seaports icebreakers of FSUE “Rosmorport” have provided support for 4.500 vessels.

The main volume of work has been made in the Azov Branch where since the beginning of the winter navigation the icebreakers – the Kapitan Demidov, the Kapitan Zarubin, the Kapitan Chudinov, the Kapitan Kharchikov, the Kama, the Kapitan Moshkin and the Kapitain Krutov have provided support for 2.917 vessels.

The icebreakers of the enterprise also provided support in the Arctic Basin. In the White Sea the icebreakers – the Kapitan Yevdokimov, the Kapitan Chadaev, the Kapitan Kosolapov and the Dikson provided support for 202 vessels while the Krasin icebreaker provided support for 30 vessels in the Kara Sea and the Moskva icebreaker provided support for 76 vessels in the seaport of Sabetta.

The icebreakers – the Semen Dezhnev, the Kapitan M. Izmailov, the Ivan Krusenshtern, the Mudyug, the Saint Petersburg, the Murmansk, the Kapitan Sorokin, the Yuri Lisyansky, the Yermak and the Kapitan Nikolayev provided support for 868 vessels in the Gulf of Finland.

The icebreakers – the Kapitan Chechkin, the Kapitan Metsaik and the Kapitan Bukaev provided support for 362 vessels in the Caspian Basin.

Since the beginning of the winter navigation in the Tatar Strait, the seaports of Magadan and Vanino the icebreakers of the Far Eastern Basin provided support for 125 vessels.

The world’s largest FSUE “Rosmorport” diesel icebreaker fleet, which includes 35 icebreakers of different power, guarantees all-year-round accessibility to Russian freezing seaports.
