FSUE “Rosmorport” Executive Director Andrey Lavrishchev on September 04 took part in the solemn ceremony of commissioning the modular gas engine generator electrical plant first stage, the construction customer of which was OJSC “Olya Sea Trade Port”.

Victor Vovk, Rosmorrechflot Deputy Head, Konstantin Markelov, Astrakhan region Government Head, representatives of OJSC “Olya Sea Trade Port” and the other organizations have also participated in the solemn ceremony of power assets commissioning.

The decision to build the electrical plant directly at the Olya Seaport territory has been taken due to the remoteness of the port infrastructure of the state unified energy system power supply facilities.

During the first stage of works at the seaport the two container gas engine units of the outer placing with the electric capacity of 2 MW each, with heat recovery systems have been installed and put into operation.

At the second stage of the project it is planned to place 4 more modules due to the commissioning of the other port facilities of Olya Seaport being under construction. At full development the installed capacity of the electrical plant will be 12 MW. 

Commissioning of the first stage of the electrical plant will not only meet the need for electricity and heat supply of existing objects of Olya Seaport, but will also ensure energy supply for the other local consumers located in the portside area.
