Photo exhibition of FSUE “Rosmorport” dedicated to the Maritime and River Fleet Workers Day opens in Moscow

A photo exhibition of FSUE “Rosmorport” dedicated to the celebration of the Maritime and River Fleet Workers Day was opened on Klimentovsky Lane in Moscow. The exhibition will be held until July 14, 2024 and will be open to the public.

Expositions in the streets and boulevards of Moscow demonstrating the enterprise's key projects have already become a tradition: this year the exhibition is being held for the fourth time. Previously, colorful photos of FSUE “Rosmorport” illustrating the successful activities of the enterprise for the benefit of the development of the country's seaports, could be seen on Arbat, Nikitsky and Gogol Boulevards.

Guests of the exhibition in Zamoskvorechye will be able to learn about the priorities facing the leading enterprise of the Russian maritime industry, see various types of vessels of the country's largest service and auxiliary fleet under the jurisdiction of FSUE “Rosmorport”, as well as evaluate the significance of port activities to ensure safe and uninterrupted navigation.

The center of the exposition is the object of special pride of FSUE “Rosmorport” – the world's largest non-nuclear icebreaking fleet, which includes 34 icebreakers and icebreaking tugs that perform thousands of operations in ice annually, and two newest dual-fuel automobile and railway sea ferries, Marshal Rokossovsky and General Chernyakhovsky. These railway sea ferries were built by order of the enterprise for ensuring cargo flows between the Kaliningrad region and the main territory of Russia in conditions of sectional restrictions on the overland supply of a number of goods. In the near future, it is planned to begin the design and construction of two new ferries for the Ust-Luga Seaport – Kaliningrad Seaport line. The project of the Marshal Rokossovsky and General Chernyakhovsky ferries will be taken as a basis.

One of the key objectives of FSUE “Rosmorport” in this year is the further development of the Ust-Luga Seaport: the construction of a universal trading terminal and two terminals for mineral fertilizers. The enterprise also performs dredging operations in the seaport of Novorossiysk and in the water area of berths No. 9-10 of the seaport of Tuapse, continues construction of the building of the marine station of the international cargo and passenger terminal in Pionersky.

A special centerpiece of the exhibition were the photos of three sailing training vessels of FSUE “Rosmorport”: Mir, Khersones and Nadezhda. Since 2015, sailing practice has been organized on vessels for students of leading maritime universities of Russia. The best-prepared graduates who have proved themselves during the internship can be employed in the branches of the enterprise.

The visitors of the photo exhibition can learn about the records set by the enterprise's vessels, about the differences between our language and maritime language, about sailor’s signs and much more.

FSUE “Rosmorport” thanks the Moscow Directorate of Mass Events for its assistance in organizing the exhibition.
