FSUE "Rosmorport" received two awards in the nominations of the Industry Leader 2023 contest

FSUE “Rosmorport” was awarded two prizes in the nominations of the Rosmorrechflot's Industry Leader annual contest based on the results of work in 2023. As in the previous year, the company was declared by the expert commission as the winner in “The Best organization providing navigation services (maritime/river)” category. In 2024, FSUE "Rosmorport" was also awarded a diploma in the new nomination “The Best organization performing the functions of a state customer in the field of maritime and river transport".

The awarding took place on March 28 within the framework of an extended joint meeting of the Board of the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport and the Public Council at Rosmorrechflot to summarize the results of maritime and inland water transport in 2023, which was attended by Sergey Pylin, General Director of FSUE “Rosmorport”.

Winning the Industry Leader award means not only a high appreciation of the professional merits of the many thousands of employees of FSUE “Rosmorport”, but also imposes responsibility for further maintaining the status of the driver of major government programs and projects in the transport sector.

For two decades of successful work in the maritime industry FSUE “Rosmorport” has formed the largest service and auxiliary fleet in the country - currently the total number of the company's vessels is almost 270 units. FSUE “Rosmorport” provides conditions for safe navigation in the water areas of 59 out of 63 seaports of the country and on the approaches to them on a regular basis.

As part of the Comprehensive Plan for Modernization and Expansion of Mainline Infrastructure until 2024, which is a federal project called “Development of Sea Ports”, FSUE “Rosmorport” has initiated 16 projects for the construction and reconstruction of port infrastructure facilities. These projects will be carried out during the period of 2018-2024. Last year, 6 major events were implemented, resulting in the country's seaport production capacity increasing by 68.2 million tons by the end of the year.

As the owner of Russia's largest dredging fleet (42 vessels), the enterprise annually provides dredging operations to achieve the navigation parameters of the water areas of seaports. Among the main achievements of FSUE “Rosmorport” in 2023 was the early completion of the largest-scale dredging works in recent decades on the Volga-Caspian Sea Shipping Canal (VCSSC). By order of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the enterprise achieved a canal draught of 4.5 m at VCSSC. An unprecedented number of vessels - over 40 units of the dredging and auxiliary fleet - are involved in the development of the canal.

In 2023, Nikolay Rusanov non-self-propelled high-capacity cutter suction dredger was launched for operation at VCSSC, as well as Koporye and Koppi bilge water collectors, which will join the company's environmental fleet.

The world's largest icebreaker fleet of FSUE “Rosmorport” is constantly increasing due to commissioning of the newest vessels. Last year, two new shallow-draft icebreakers - the most powerful shallow-draft icebreakers in Russia - were laid down at the Onega Shipyard, JSC. The lead vessel of the project was laid down in May, the second one - in November with the participation of the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.

In 2023, the enterprise's innovative dual-fuel ferries “Marshal Rokossovsky” and “General Chernyakhovsky” became the first seagoing vessels in the Russian Federation to receive certificates of maritime autonomous and remotely operated surface vessels and start commercial operations in autonomous mode. To ensure remote vessel control mode, a Remote Control Center has been established in St. Petersburg, providing an opportunity to monitor the surrounding navigation environment, control the main parameters of ferry traffic, and remotely control vessels on the high seas.

As part of the work of the Industrial Competence Center (ICC) “Sea and River Transport” headed by FSUE “Rosmorport” in 2023, works on import substitution of the software of the vessel traffic system (VTS) in the seaport of Sochi were carried out for the first time in Russia. Work on the technical design of an information system for pilotage support, and a system is being developed that will improve the efficiency of the organization of the pilotage services of the enterprise. Last year FSUE “Rosmorport” also switched the equipment of Arkhangelsk VTS to domestic software and completed the technical modernization of the equipment of the coastal station Kaliningrad of the sea area A2 of GMDSS - the first GMDSS coastal station to be switched to Russian software.
