The Orlyonok Russian children’s center marked its 60^th jubilee on July, 12. This is an important date for hundreds of thousands Russian children. This is the time of rich events, interesting meetings and unforgettable adventures. The Orlyonok united and gave a pass to wondrous world of childhood to millions of talented children of the country.

On the eve of festive events the legendary Khersones three-mast sailing ship, which is part of the FSUE “Rosmorport” fleet, called at a roadstead in the water area of the Orlyonok Russian children’s center. In celebration of the Orlyonok jubilee the frigate hoisted the scarlet sails.

Young navigators from the Dozorny and Shtormovoy children’s centers, 40 winners of the FSUE “Rosmorport” “My Port” project among them, were able to show their skills to drive the Yal-6 boats: children were lucky to take part in the most fascinating parts of the holiday – sea travel aboard the famous sailing ship “The Khersones”. On the route to the Khersones children passed over one mile and showed agility, swiftness and real team spirit. Excursions at sea have been organized aboard the sailing ship for the rest of participants of the 7^th jubilee shift. The children had an opportunity to study the sailing ship at close range and take photos of the sailing ship that impresses by its scale and beauty.

 This year the solemn festivities involved over 1,750 children of Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Adygeya: children sang to the guitar, took part in sportive events, excursions and smart mob. Upon completion of the jubilee events children were able to see colorful fireworks on the central embankment of the children’s center. The center received greetings messages from different areas of Russia, neighboring and foreign countries in 60 world languages.

Since 2015 the enterprise jointly with the Russian children center has annually implemented programs of additional education. Under such programs about 500 children and teenagers from different Russian regions underwent professional training. This jubilee year for the celebrations marking the anniversary of the Shtormovoy children’s center FSUE “Rosmorport” is preparing measures to make a donation of equipment necessary to be used by participants in thematic shifts within such courses as “Young Meteorologist”. “The Environment of the Port” and “The Port Engineering”. Modern equipment will help children learn more about maritime professions, as well as learn to make seasonal monitoring of the meteorological situation, including before putting to sea, and broadcast their own news.
