FSUE “Rosmorport” obtains license for transportation of dangerous goods

FSUE “Rosmorport” has obtained a license (Series MP-1 No. 003694) to transport dangerous goods by inland water and marine transport. The document issued by Russia’s Federal Authority for Transport Oversight (Rostransnadzor) Central Directorate for State Maritime and River Supervision has no expiration date.

Goods which can pose a threat to people’s health and cause damage to the environment and material values, and destroy them while in transit transfer and storage in view of their properties, are considered dangerous. The license allows FSUE “Rosmorport” to carry out operations to transport cargoes by sea, including using small vessels.

Among permitted classes of dangerous goods are explosives (1; 1.4S), pressure gas, liquefied gas and cooled liquefied gas (2.1; 2.2; 2.3); inflammable liquids (3) and substances (4), oxidizing agents and organic peroxides (5), toxic substances (6.1), corrosive agents (5) and other dangerous substances and goods (9).

The Georgy Sedov tugboat, which was added to the Azov Basin Branch fleet early in 2020, will be the first FSUE “Rosmorport” vessel to render services for dangerous goods transportation.
