Start of the traditional contest under the project “My Port”
Receipt of applications for participation in the socially oriented educational contest “My Port” started on March 5, 2020. This year the project initiated by FSUE “Rosmorport” in 2016 marks the 5th anniversary.
The contest is held to select the most active children, creative thinkers, achievers and those who are interested in getting new knowledge. Winners of the contest will become members of “crews” of the Artek international children’s center and the all-Russian children’s centers – the Orlyonok and the Okean in compliance with programs of extended education. Every year such programs are worked out by professional pedagogues, psychologists, educational supervisors and experienced specialists. Totally, the My Port project is planning to organize three thematic shifts. Two shifts are the jubilee ones (the Artek center marks the 95th anniversary and the Orlyonok center marks the 60th anniversary). This year a total of 180 children will get an opportunity to study under programs of extended education aimed at popularizing professions of maritime and port affairs, patriotic education of the younger generation and forming the capabilities for the conscious choice of profession in the future.
The Artek international children’s center will receive 50 winners of the contest from May 28-29 to June 17-18, 2020. Children will enjoy an entertainment program “To the Dream under the Sails” within the 6th jubilee shift.
The 7th jubilee shift will be held in the Orlyonok children’s center from June 22-23 to July 13-14, 2020. The contest will select the 100 members, worthy to take part in a program of extended education “The Wind of Travels”.
The Okean children’s center is ready to accept 30 winners of the contest to take part in the 6th shift “The First Expedition” due to be held from June 20 to July 10, 2020.
The Artek center, as well as the Orlyonok children’s center, will end to receive applications for the contest on March 23, 2020 while the Okean center ends to receive applications on March 25, 2020. You can see information on the procedure for holding the contests and the rules for accepting children at the centers on the official website of the project http://myport.info.
