Solemn ceremony to launch buoy tender held at Onego Shipyard

A solemn ceremony was held at the Onego Shipyard on June 14, 2019 to put afloat the Ladozhsky buoy tender of M3.0 (Ice 30) A Class, Project 3265 (Yard Number 302). The buoy tender has been built under the order of the Federal Government Institution “Rechvodput” for FBI “The Administration of the Volga-Baltic Sea Basin Inland Waterways”. The Shipbuilding Engineering Center, JSC, is a general project designer.

The ceremony involved management of JSC “Onego Shipyard”, the Federal Government Institution “Rechvodput” and JSC “ Shipbuilding Engineering Center”. Representatives of the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Karelia, the Government of the Republic of Karelia, federal institutions, territorial structures of governance and the city administration were among honorable guests of the event.

During the event, a traditional ceremony devoted the motor ship’s baptism took place. Under the fleet’s tradition, Marina Vladimirovna Minovskaya, the ship’s godmother and deputy chief accountant of the Nevsky Lagozhsky District of Waterways and Navigation of FBI “ Volga-Balt Administration”, broke a bottle of champagne against the ship and thus demonstrated the beginning of its new life.

The keel laying ceremony was held at the Onego Shipyard on October 31, 2018.

The buoy tender of Project 3265 is designed for monitoring the vessels navigation pass through inland waterways and in water areas of seaports, carrying out sweeping operations, controlling aids to navigation, servicing navigation signs and transporting vehicles, cargoes and passengers.
