FSUE “Rosmorport” and Pacific Logistic modernize infrastructure of Golden Horn Bay

FSUE “Rosmorport” and LLC “Pacific Logistic” signed an agreement to implement a new investment project in Golden Horn Bay in Vladivostok September 11, 2018. The agreement has been signed within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum.

The agreement envisions works aimed at creating a navigational canal in Golden Horn Bay and reconstructing a berth. The document has been signed by FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director Andrei Lavrishchev and Pacific Logistic General Director Valery Mestulov.

The project is to start this autumn, and to be carried out by stages within three years. The reconstruction of a terminal and the creation of an approach canal toward it will allow for receiving the fleet of larger dimensions. FSUE “Rosmorport” will carry out the operations to set up a navigation canal of 1,200 meters in length and 10.5 meters in depth. Pacific Logistic is planning to extend the berth wall from 150 meters to 220 meters. Investments are expected to exceed 1.1 billion Rubles.

FSUE “Rosmorport” is an enterprise set up by the decision of the Russian Government in 2003 in order to contribute to the development of the maritime transport infrastructure, the implementation of its transit potential and the increase in competitiveness of Russian seaports. FSUE “Rosmorport” carries out economic activities in 65 out of 67 Russian seaports. The priorities of the enterprise are to ensure navigation safety in water areas of seaports and on the approaches toward them, to use federal property effectively and develop the port infrastructure. In addition, the enterprise attracts private investments to develop the infrastructure of Russian seaports.

Pacific Logistic possesses of the sea container terminal in Vladivostok with the capacity of 200,000 TEU and the storage volume of 5,000 TEU. It has its own approach routes and it is a strategic partner of SOLLERS Group.
