Yuri Tsvetkov inspects the activities of the FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch

Russian Deputy Transport Minister - head of the Federal Agency for Marine and River Transport Yuri Tsvetkov visited the FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch on August 23, 2018 as part of his working trip to St Petersburg.

During the visit, Yuri Tsvetkov met with the management of the Branch. The Branch’s director, Sergei Pylin, spoke about the enterprise’s major functions and services in the Baltic Basin, property and the composition of the fleet. Moreover, he presented the investment projects that are currently being implemented. Among them are the project for creating an international sea terminal to receive cruise and cargo passenger vessels in Pionersky, construction projects in the seaports of Big Port St Petersburg, Vysotsk and Ust Luga. Sergei Pylin also spoke in detail about potential projects on the development of seaports in the North-Western region.

The FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch traces his history back to August 2003 when the St Petersburg Branch had been founded to carry out its activities in the seaports of Big Port St Petersburg and Primorsk.

In December 2010 the Vyborg-Vysotsk, Kaliningrad and Ust Luga directorates were created within the St Petersburg Branch in order to carry out the activities in the seaports of Vyborg, Vysotsk, Kaliningrad and Ust Luga.

In 2011 the Branch was renamed as the FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch.
