The FSUE “Rosmorport” Cup regatta was held at the Artek international children’s center on August 1, 2018. The event involved about 300 children of maritime detachments of the Artek children’s sailing section and children’s maritime centers of the Republic of Crimea.

The FSUE “Rosmorport” Cup was founded in 2018 within the partner’s shift of the enterprise and competed for in two categories – for sailing achievements and for the regatta.

The competitions lasted for two days. In the meantime apart from races in the water area of the Artek port, tug war competitions, as well as contests to acquire reef knots and flag wagging skills, took place. These competitions became one of the clearest impressions and one of the most hallmark moments during the thematic shift “The Sea – Romantics – Profession”. The shift will end in the children’s center on August 4.

Director of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Crimean Branch Andrei Filchakov, captain of the Yalta seaport Boris Furman, chief of the headquarters of the Yunarmiya all-Russian military patriotic public movement Sevastopol division Vladimir Kovalenko, director of the Yalta children’s maritime center Olga Yakovleva and chairman of the all-Russian fleet support movement Sevastopol division Denis Legotin congratulated on their success.

Honorable guests awarded cups to winners and expressed the hope that love to the sea reflected in their future profession.

The priority of such events is to maintain cultural, historical and military patriotic education of the future generation. FSUE “Rosmorport” gave an emergency buoy to the Artek center, navigational maps of the Yalta seacoast, lifejackets and equipment for a life float that will be further used for training programs of the thematic shift.
