Action “Rosmorport. The Distance is not an Obstacle” held in Primorye Territory

A jubilee action “Rosmorport. The Distance is not an Obstacle” devoted to the 15th anniversary of the enterprise was held in Vladivostok on July 25-26, 2018.

Employees of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch took part in a car rally to the highest point of the seaport of Olga.

Vladivostok has become the starting point of the route. The participants in the action moved to the seaport of Vladivostok where employees of the Eastern Directorate of the Branch joined the action. Then they made their way through the seaport of Olga and planted the FSUE “Rosmorport” jubilee flag on the highest point – Krestovaya Volcano (700 meters).

During the trip, the Branch’s employees attended a light tower on Cape Balyusek in the Gulf of Vladimir and a vessel tracking management system center in Nakhodka where an excursion had been organized for them. They returned by the so-called northernmost road – through the settlement of Kavalerovo and the town of Arsenyev.

A total of 24 people took part in the action. During the car rally, they passed 1,100 kilometers. More than half of the route has been done over rough and smooth.

The event in Vladivostok completed the jubilee action “Rosmorport. The Distance is not an Obstacle”. The action began on March 13 by hauling the flag on the north-westernmost point of Russia’s mainland – Cape Nemetsky of Rybachyi Peninsula. The jubilee flags have been also hauled on Markhotsky Ridge in the north-westernmost part of Greater Caucasus, the westernmost point of the Russian Federation – the extreme point of the northern breakwater of the Kaliningrad Seaway Canal. The solemn ceremonies were held on the southern point of Sakhalin Island – Cape Crillion and in the water area of the southernmost non-freezing Russian seaport – the port of Makhachkala.

Employees of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch, the Kaliningrad Directorate of the North-Western Basin Branch, the Murmansk, Sakhalin and Makhachkala branches supported the action.

This event allowed for demonstrating the scope of the enterprise’s geography and proved the key role of FSUE “Rosmorport” in ensuring navigation safety, rendering services to sea vessels ashore and at sea, in seaports and on the routes of the Northern Sea Route.
