“Rosmorport. The Distance is not an Obstacle” event starts in Novorossiysk

The “Rosmorport. The Distance is not an Obstacle” event was held in Novorossiysk on April 12, 2018. The solemn event continues a series of festive occasions devoted to the 15th anniversary of FSUE “Rosmorport”.

On this day employees of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch have overcome the Markotkh Ridge in the north-west of Greater Caucasus in off-roaders and quadrunners.

The employees drove by the settlement of Kabardinka located along the Tsemes Bay. A monument to “Navy Men of the Revolution” rises above the Bay’s cliffy shore at the slope of the Markotkh Ridge. The monument is part of the complex “Heroes of the Civil War and the Great Patriotic War” and is devoted to the tragic events of the wreck of the Black Sea Fleet ships in 1918.

By overcoming a curvy impassible mountainous road the participants in the car rally reached one of the most picturesque points of the Ridge (about 400 meters above sea level) where bird's eye panoramas open on the two southern ports of Russia – Novorossiysk and Gelendzhik. The jubilee flag was solemnly planted on this site.

The Murmansk Branch started the festive occasions on March 13. The Kaliningrad Directorate of the FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch picked up the baton of the event on April 27, 2018.

The event allows for showing the scale of the enterprise’s geography and it will again prove the key role of FSUE “Rosmorport” in ensuring navigation safety, rendering services to marine vessels ashore and at sea, in seaports and at the Northern Sea Route.
