The contest to select participants of thematic camp shifts under the guidance of FSUE “Rosmorport” at the Artek and Orlyonok summer camps for kids has started

The My Port contest starts on April 5, 2018. It is conducted for the students of various educational institutions of Russia for the right to participate in thematic summer shifts organized at the International Children's Center Artek and Russian Children's Center Orlyonok. This contest has been initiated by the FSUE “Rosmorport”, while the State University of the Naval and River Fleet named after Admiral S.O. Makarov will take on the role of the event organizer.

The My Port project has been in existence and has been improving since 2015. In 2018 within the framework of the socially oriented innovative educational project it was decided to organize thematic camp shifts targeted at the early specialized professional education in the maritime field of activity for children.

The thematic shift in Children's center Orlyonok will be held from June 23 to July 14, 2018. After the competitive selection the 100 of most deserving participants will be able to get training, participating in the program of additional education Ocean of my Dreams.

Children's center Artek will welcome 70 winners of the contest for the period starting from July 14 to August 4, 2018. The kids will be able to enjoy a truly fascinating program titled Sea-Romance-Profession.

In accordance with the event rules, the students from 5-11 school grades, aged 10-16 inclusive are invited to participate in the contest. Those young dreamers and sailors will have to take this difficult but extremely exciting road and take part in the contest. The winners will be announced in mid-May.

Winning the competition will allow the event participants to spend unforgettable time in children's centers, where they will be able not only to gain new knowledge and useful skills, but have a whole bunch of exciting adventures full of vivid experiences, and, of course, find a lot of new friends!

The My Port project aims to bring up a worthy generation of industry professionals found among today's participants. This is a unique opportunity to learn about the work of seaports, and to get acquainted with modern technical achievements. At the training sessions, the kids will learn to sail and navigate the seas by the stars, and acquire primary skills useful in the maritime business. In all their undertakings during the event the young seamen will be carefully guided and assisted by experienced teachers and recognized masters of their business.
