The international sea terminal in the Kaliningrad region is one of the major infrastructural projects of the North-Western Federal District. This project is realized in pursuance of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s instructions – Instruction No Pr-2368 of October 5, 2013 – and Russia’s Government Resolution No AD-P9-7317 of October 14, 2013.

The project is implemented by FSUE “Rosmorport” under the Russian state program “The Development of the Transport System”. The project will help us create additional possibilities to develop the tourist cluster in the country in the future.

The project envisages building berths for receiving cruise vessels with the maximum passenger flow through the sea terminal of 300,000 people per year and the maximum cargo flow of up to 90,000 units of cargo transport per year that will facilitate the dynamic development of the Kaliningrad region in marine ferry and cruise shipping.

As of today, FSUE “Rosmorport” completed design works and obtained positive findings on the facility by the State Appraisal Board. Moreover, a plan for ensuring transportation security of the new sea terminal has been worked out. The plan envisages equipping areas of the sea terminal with engineering and technical facilities that provide transportation security.
