New Black Sea cruise line granted the Route Formula prize

On December 7, 2017 winners of the Route Formula prize were granted awards for their achievements in the field of transport infrastructure. The awarding ceremony was held within the major exhibition “Russia’s Transport 2017”.

The project of cruise trips aboard the Knyaz Vladimir liner won the nomination of “The Best Decision in Passenger Transport”.

Regular cruise service in the Black Sea region has been restored under Russian President Vladimir Putin’s instruction. LLC “Black Sea Cruises” set up by FSUE “Rosmorport” is an operator of the cruise service.

The Knyaz Vladimir cruise liner started its first voyage on the route between the cities of the Caucasus and Crimea – Sochi, Novorossiysk, Yalta, Sevastopol and Sochi – on June 11, 2017.

The cruise liner made 18 voyages during its first navigation. Over the season the liner has carried over 5,000 passengers that shows good performances over the first navigation.

As of today a journey aboard the Knyaz Vladimir cruise liner is the only Russian cruise in the Black Sea region. The cruise line is a full-fledged floating hotel. The liner has all necessary things for safe and comfortable travel.

Summing up the results of the first navigation, the company management is planning to expand the targeted group of tourists by offering a flexible system of discounts and improving cognitive activities and entertainment aboard the liner and in the cities where the liner calls at.

The Route Formula contest was founded by the Public Council of the Russian Transport Ministry in 2014 and designed for contributing to the development of the transport infrastructure and the promoting of state and commercial structures to resolve key issues of the transport industry.

Totally in 2017 over 20 applications were submitted to participate in the competition.
