On December 27, 2017 FSUE “Rosmorport” obtained positive findings by FAI “Glavgosexpertiza of Russia” on project documentation and the results of engineering surveying, as well as on the results of costing data verification of the facility in the resort city of Gelendzhik.

Project documentation has been worked out by JSC “Lenmorniiproject” (St Petersburg) under the order of FSUE “Rosmorport”.

The major goal of the project is to create an up-to-date cargo passenger port capable of accepting cargo and passenger vessels, as well as motor vessels and sailing small ships of various class.

The cargo passenger port, which is now being created, will be an inalienable part of a new tourist recreation zone of the resort city of Gelendzhik, including hotels, restaurants, sports entertainment centers and other facilities of the tourist infrastructure. The construction of such facilities will be funded by private investors.

The implementation of this project will make it possible to considerably strengthen the tourist appeal of the resort city of Gelendzhik and go a long way toward the development of sea transport routes of the coastal region.

The construction of facilities of federal ownership is scheduled to start from 2018 under the state program “The Development of Russia’s Transport System”.
