Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev visited the FSUE “Rosmorport” exposition on December 6, 2017 within the annual exhibition “Transport of 2017” currently underway in Moscow.

While attending the exhibition, Russian Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov told the prime minister about the 2017 navigation results of the Black Sea cruise route. This project has been implemented in pursuance of the instruction of the Russian President Vladimir Putin on the restoration of regular cruise service in the Black Sea region. LLC “Black Sea Cruises” founded by FSUE “Rosmorport” serves as the operator of the cruise service. As of today a cruise on the Knyaz Vladimir cruise liner is the only cruise line in the Black Sea region.

“For the 2017 past cruise season, which lasted from June 11 to October 14, over 5.000 passengers have been transported aboard the cruise liner,” Maxim Sokolov said. He also outlined the key tasks for 2018. Among these tasks there are goals to increase passenger flow by 2.5 times up to 13.000 people, to extend navigation and expand additional services aboard the cruise liner.

The international exhibition “Transport of Russia 2017” will be held at the Shopping Mall till December 8. This is is one of the branch’s major international events to develop the dialogue between business communities and the authorities to jointly resolve the issues that the Russian transport complex faces.
