FSUE “Rosmorport” signs agreement on vocational guidance in sphere of waterborne transport

FSUE “Rosmorport”, the Federal Autonomous Institution “The Russian Register of Seaports”, the Federal Budgetary Institution “The Marine Rescue Service of Rosmorrechflot”, the State Budgetary Non-typical Educational Institution “St. Petersburg City Palace of Youth Creativity”, LLC “SKF Arktika” and the Autonomous Noncommercial Organization “The Management Board for the Development of the Transport System of St Petersburg and the Leningrad Region” have signed an agreement on education and vocational guidance cooperation in compliance with the traditions of the Russian fleet. The agreement was signed in St. Petersburg on December 5, 2017.

The signing ceremony involved Russian Deputy Transport Minister, Head of Rosmorrechflot Viktor Olersky.

Under the agreement, the parties will contribute to developing the resource base of maritime structural units of the Palace of Youth Creativity, jointly creating and coordinating the activities of relevant educational programs aimed at developing and supporting patriotic education. The parties are also expected to maintain cooperation in the field of teaching aids and educational materials. Moreover, it is planned to develop knowledge of children and teenagers in the sphere of marine and inland water transport, the infrastructure of seaports and river harbors, internal waterways, navigational equipment, communications, the activities of rescue and emergency rescue services, transport security.

The signing of the agreement plays a rather important role in patriotic education of the young generation and strengthening respect for the glorious historic past of Russia as a sea power.
