FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director makes working trip to Sevastopol

FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director Andrey Lavrishchev made a working trip to Sevastopol on November 27-28, 2017. During the trip, the General Director took part in a meeting involving Sevastopol Governor Dmitry Ovsyannikov on measures to increase the tourist flow in the Black Sea Region.

The participants in the meeting discussed prospects for the development of sea shipping and additional possibilities for using the Knyaz Vladimir cruise liner. In 2017 the ship started regular cruise service on the route linking the cities of the Caucasus and Crimea – Sochi, Novorossiysk, Yalta, Sevastopol and Sochi.

The number of tourists on the Knyaz Vladimir cruise liner is expected to increase by 2.5 times in 2018. Moreover, the visit to Sevastopol on such remarkable dates as Navy Day and City Day will help to attract a greater number of passengers.

The route will remain the same. Twenty-four voyages to Yalta and Sevastopol are scheduled to be performed in the forthcoming season. “During this navigation, we’ve shipped over 5.000 passengers; we’re planning to ship 12.500-13.000 passengers during the next navigation,” Andrey Lavrishchev said.

On the same day the head of the FSUE “Rosmorport” has visited the Knyaz Vladimir cruise liner. Andrey Lavrishchev inspected preparations of the vessel for internavigational repair. He also inspected the key rooms of the liner and its floor space. Moreover, the General Director boarded the Khersones training sailing ship, which is under the supervision of the enterprise. The captain of the sailing ship and crew members spoke about the final stage of the 2017 training that would end on November 30. The frigate has to undergo internavigational repair, which envisions maintenance of the vessel systems and machinery, sailing equipment and deck machinery.

During the working visit, the General Director met representatives of contractor organizations that constructing engineering facilities of transport security objects in the seaport of Sevastopol. The participants in the meeting discussed the work flow and terms of state contracts.
