Adis workboat construction completed at Onego Shipyard

Technical acceptance demonstration of the Adis workboat was completed at the Onego Shipyard in Petrozavodsk on October 14, 2017.

The vessel built under the order of FSUE “Rosmorport” to be used by the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch left for the home port – the seaport of Novorossiysk.

The Adis is designed for using for the work-related and travel purposes, for embarking commissions and crew members, transshipment, patrolling, inspection and environmental monitoring of water areas. In addition, the vessel can carry out the functions of a pilot's boat. The seagoing capacities allow the workboat to operate in the difficult weather conditions in open sea with wave height higher than 3.5 meters. It can be operated in embouchures, coastal zones of open and territorial seas, gulfs, harbor waters with the removal from the shelter site of no more than 20 miles.

Launching of the workboat was held on September 6. Then specialists of the Onego Shipyard made outfitting works afloat. During the mooring and sea trials, the acceptance commission inspected the operating status of the boat's equipment, as well as the key performance parameters, the functioning of automation equipment, navigation and communications means. The boat proved the full readiness for the operation.

The Adis is an ancient name of the town of Temryuk in Krasnodar Territory. At the end of the XVI century Kabardin Prince Temryuk Idarovich built a fortress on the site of modern Temryuk jointly with the Russian troops. In 1570 it was renamed as Adis.
