FSUE “Rosmorport” Takes Part in NEVA 2017 International Exhibition

The 14th international exhibition and conference on civil shipbuilding, navigation, the activities of ports and ocean and shelf development “NEVA 2017” will end in Saint Petersburg on September 22, 2017.

The event was attended by FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director Andrey Tarasenko, staff workers of the enterprise's headquartes and the enterprise's branches, heads of federal and regional authorities, sea lines and shipbuilding companies, and other representatives of the industry.

On September 19, Russian Transport Minister Maksim Sokolov opened the exposition. He read out the greetings message of Russian Vice-Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin to the participants and wished them successful work. The ceremony also involved Saint Petersburg Vice-Governor Igor Albin, who addressed the participants on behalf of the Governor Georgy Poltavchenko.

The intensive program of the exhibition included business like talks, discussions on international cooperation with the European community, prospects for creating maritime technical means for ocean and shelf development.

Within the framework of the exhibition the Maritime Council of the Government of Saint Petersburg gathered for an expanded session. The round-table meetings, “International Horizons of Environmental Cooperation in the Arctic. The Protection of Arctic Marine Environment” and “Optimization of Design Process in Shipbuilding and Ship-repairing”, and a few other business events were held.

The Onego Shipyard presented its stand at the exhibition, where diagrams of dry cargo ships, mark boats and workboats can be seen. The management and specialists of the shipyard exchanged experience with foreign colleagues and discussed the expansion of contacts with domestic companies. The visitors noted originality and information richness of the exhibition.

NEVA 2017 is one of the largest civil maritime exhibitions in Eastern Europe and includes stands and expositions of more than 600 companies from 36 world countries. The key topics of the event are manufacture of vessels and equipment for shelf development, maintenance of oil-gas and navigation maritime centers on the Norther Sea Route. The event is designed to contribute to increasing competitiveness of regional shipbuilding and industrial clusters.
