FSUE "Rosmorport" and "Tata Power International Company Limited" plan to develop transport and logistics infrastructure of the Kamchatka Territory

On September 7, 2017, within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum, FSUE "Rosmorport" and Indian company "Tata Power International Company Limited" signed an agreement on intentions to implement an investment project for the construction of transport infrastructure for the development of the Krutogorovsky coal field on the Kamchatka peninsula.

It is planned to create a modern terminal and ensure its safe operation with the participation of FSUE "Rosmorport".

The General Director of FSUE "Rosmorport" Andrey Tarasenko noted that the business dialogue between the representatives of Russian and Indian companies was held at the EEF for the first time this year. This agreement will be the first serious joint step in the development of the transport and logistics infrastructure of the Kamchatka Territory in order to create a new coal terminal in the area of the town of Krutogorovsky (Kamchatka Territory).

The document will allow the parties to form the proposals on the sources of financing, assess the volume of investments, the costs of maintaining facilities created under the project, as well as the proposals for tariffs for the provision of transportation services for coal from the Krutogorovsky coal field to the ship's side.

Krutogorovsky coal deposit is the largest one on the territory of the Kamchatka Peninsula. It is located 40 km from the sea terminal planned for construction.
