Nadezhda frigate welcomes guests of Eastern Economic Forum

The third Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) opened in Vladivostok on September 6, 2017.

The forum is aimed at joining efforts of Russian business representatives and official authorities with Asian countries to develop transport infrastructure and logistics in the Far East. Its participants have to discuss new investment and business conditions of the priority development areas and the Free Port of Vladivostok.

A solemn event devoted to the 25th anniversary of raising the Russian State Flag on the Nadezhda ship   was held on the first day of the forum.

The FSUE “Rosmorport” legendary sailing ship moored in Ajax Bay near Russkiy Island on purpose in order to welcome the guests of and the participants in the forum.

The ceremony involved FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director Andrey Tarasenko, Deputy General Director Oksana Gubina, director of the Far Eastern Basin Branch Nina Osipova and Rector of Admiral G.I. Nevelskoy Maritime State University Sergey Ogai.

The ship's captain, Sergei Vorobyov, and the crew of the ship greeted the participants aboard the ship. Cadets of Admiral G.I. Nevelskoy Maritime State University undergoing training practice aboard the ship greeted the guests by a solemn parade and by putting on a singsong concert. In honor of the jubilee of the sailing ship Andrey Tarasenko presented souvenirs to the captain and the crew.

During the solemn event, the Nadezhda crew members have been awarded for their work achievements and on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of raising the Russian State Flage on the ship. The awards have been presented to:
Konstantin Golenko, system-level engineer;
Grigory Norkin, chief mate;
Yuri Tishkin, engineman I Class, turner.

The FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director commendation has been awarded to:
Aleksandr Artemov, radio officer;
Aleksandr Gomanyuk, engineman I Class;
Vladimir Kozlovsky, ship's engineer;
Vitaly Kravtsov, third engineer;
Nikolai Lubnin, electrical officer;
Vladimir Slatin, senior seaman (skipper's mate);
Vasily Frolov, senior seaman (carpenter).

Valuable gifts have been given to:
Sergei Androsov, chief boatswain;
Andrei Sadovoy, chief mate;
Valentin Yarosh, chief boatswain – sail maker.

The captain of the Nadezhda sailing ship, Sergei Vorobyov, has been awarded with the Moscow State University Talent Pool badge of honor for ensuring trouble-free service and qualitative practical training of specialists in maritime affairs.

FSUE “Rosmorport” congratulates all awarded employees and wishes them the success in their future professional life.

In addition, on June 6, FSUE “Rosmoport” and the Endowment Fund of the Federal Budgetary Education Institution of Higher Professional Education “Admiral G.I. Nevelskoy Maritime State University” signed a donation agreement aboard the ship. The document envisions one-off donation to the Fund of the Education Institution for further development and support a subject-matter higher education institution.
