Mir sailing ship, owned by FSUE “Rosmorport”, took part in the celebration of the National Day of the Kingdom of Norway.

The crew and cadets of the State University of Sea and River Fleet n.a. Admiral S.O. Makarov doing their internship at the frigate paid tribute to the fallen sailors, captain Andrey Orlov laid flowers to the Pyramid Monument, dedicated to those who died in World War II.

The crew members and cadets took part in the citywide parade. In addition, on May 17 there was held a minifootball tournament between the teams of the Mir sailing ship  and the Kruzenshtern barque, which also participated in the celebrations. The Mir football players won with the score 5:3.

The STS Mir arrived in the Norwegian port of Larvik on May 14. After the visit, the ship will head to the seaport of Warnemünde (Germany), where it plans to arrive on May 23, 2016.
