Director of the Far Eastern Basin Branch takes part in an event dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Russian sailors who died in the Battle of Tsushima

On May 27, 2024, Evgeniy Pankratov, Director of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch, together with representatives of the Vladivostok City Duma and the maritime community of Vladivostok, took part in a solemn event dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Russian sailors who died 119 years ago in the Battle of Tsushima during the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905.

The memorial event was held at berth No. 30 in the seaport of Vladivostok with musical accompaniment provided by the branch’s orchestra.

The participants laid a wreath and flowers at the monument to the fallen sailors, and also handed over a wreath to the cadets of the Pallada sailing training vessel to be set afloat in the Sea of ​​Japan at the site of the battle of the 2nd Pacific Squadron with the Imperial Japanese Navy.

At the end of the event, Nikolai Zorchenko, captain of the Pallada sailboat, received congratulations on his 70th birthday, and group photos were taken.
