On October 12, 2023, the FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Eastern Basin Branch held a tour for 29 high school students of Vanino village as part of a career guidance program.

The children saw a presentation video about the North-Eastern Basin Branch and a short film about the pilotage service of the branch.

Anatoliy Litvinenko, Deputy Director for Navigation Safety of the North-Eastern Basin Branch, spoke about the importance and complexity of the pilot's profession and shared his professional experience.

Later, the students learned about the work of the vessel traffic management service and the communication and electrical navigation service of the branch. The children were shown the operator's workplaces and told about the tasks facing the services.

The tour ended with a visit onboard the branch's vessels: the MB-381 sea tug and two workboats – Anatoly Klimov and Viktor Vorotylo. The students visited the engine room, wheelhouse and galley, where crew members told them about the structure of the vessels, the specifics of their operation, the purpose of the vessel's machinery and the crews.

At the end of the tour, the students thanked the crews and organizers for having an interesting time and obtaining unforgettable experience.
