Under Russia's Government Directive No 1634-r of July 28, 2017 a decision has been taken to change the area boundary of the seaport of Sovetskaya Gavan.

The changes are connected with making corrections to the boundaries of Land Lot No 6 of the seaport of Sovetskaya Gavan related to including lands designed for ensuring the functioning of facilities of the coal terminal located near Egge Bay of at the gulf of Sovetskaya Gavan.
