Vysotsk VTS passes re-examination

According to the results of the Rosmorrechflot inspection, FSUE "Rosmorport" received a certificate of 20.06.2024 No. VTS-12/44-3320-2024 on conformity of the Vysotsk VTS with the requirements of the Order of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation of 23.07.2015 No. 226, applied to VTS of the first category.

In 2005, 2008, 2011, 2014 and 2019, Vysotsk VTS successfully passed examinations as well, after which the enterprise was issued certificates of its conformity with the current requirements for the operation of such equipment.

Vysotsk VTS includes the VTS Center and the VTS sites, located in the seaport of Vysotsk, as well as VTS site “Bobrovy”, located on Cape Bobrovy.

Using Vysotsk VTS, which operates around the clock, the FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch provides comprehensive navigation services to vessels and carries out:
- detection of vessels on the approaches to the Vysotsk VTS coverage area, establishing communication with them, obtaining data about the vessel;
- transfer of navigation, operational and other information to vessels at the initiative of the operators of the Vysotsk VTMS or at the request of the vessel;
- assistance in navigation;
- organization of vessel traffic, including planning and establishment of vessel traffic regimes in the Vysotsk VTS coverage area in the seaport of Vysotsk;
- control of vessel traffic in the waters of the seaport of Vysotsk.

Every year, almost 6.4 thousand vessels find themselves in the Vysotsk VTS coverage area, of which 2.2 thousand vessels make calls at the seaports of Vyborg and Vysotsk, and more than 200 vessels annually transit through the VTS coverage area.
