The sports team of the Kaliningrad Department of the FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch won the traditional rowing regatta called Milya Vityazya among amateur teams. The competitions were held on August 26 on the Pregolya River in Kaliningrad as part of the Water Assembly marine festival, dedicated to the 320th anniversary of the Baltic Fleet and the 305th anniversary of the Peter Assemblies.

The rowing regatta was also dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of one of the top places of interest in Kaliningrad - the Museum of the World Ocean. Six teams of personnel of the city enterprises and institutions, including the team of the Central Office of the Government of the Kaliningrad Region, the City Administration of Kaliningrad, the Kaliningrad Branch of Sberbank, the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations in the Kaliningrad Region and the North-Western Branch of the Shirshov Institute of Oceanology of Russian Academy of Sciences, took part in the competition.

The race was held on YAL-6 class sea boats at a distance of 750 m. The crew of each boat consisted of six rowers and one helmsman.

At the end of the competition, the crew of the Kaliningrad Department of the North-Western Basin Branch took first place, beating the Kaliningrad Region Government team by one second in a close contest. The employees of the enterprise dedicated their victory in the regatta to the FSUE “Rosmorport” anniversary.

The awards were presented to the participants at the award ceremony by Svetlana Sivkova, Director General of the Museum of the World Ocean, and Andrey Moshkov, Deputy Director of the North-Western Basin Branch – Head of the Kaliningrad Department of FSUE “Rosmorport”. Each participant of the competition received a commemorative medal with the symbols of the regatta and the 20th anniversary of FSUE “Rosmorport”.

As part of the Water Assembly Andrey Moshkov also held an award ceremony for the winners of the children's drawing contest organized by FSUE “Rosmorport” in honor of the 20th anniversary of the successful operation of the enterprise. For creativeness and artistic talent shown during the competition, 9 children of employees of the North-Western Basin Branch were rewarded with desktop calendars with print copies of drawings of all 135 contestants, canvas bags and water bottles with anniversary symbols of FSUE “Rosmorport”.
