On June 25, 2023, on the Day of the Seafarer and on the eve of the Day of Workers of the Maritime and River Fleet, Nadezhda Kalashnik, Deputy Director for Economics and Finances of the FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch, took part in the event, which was held in St. Petersburg onboard the Mir sailing training boat.

Nadezhda Kalashnik addressed the participants and congratulated everyone present on the professional holiday, pointing out that 2023 was especially significant for its milestone anniversary - the 20th anniversary of FSUE “Rosmorport”, one of the leaders of the country’s port industry.

“The FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch,” she emphasized, “is a reliable, efficient, dynamically developing enterprise in the region, which always achieves exceptionally high results. Our mission and huge responsibility is to provide uninterrupted and safe navigation, which requires the highest competence and dedication to accomplish the ambitious goals set for the branch in the development of seaports of the Northwestern region of the country”.

Nadezhda Kalashnik expressed her gratitude to everyone who makes a truly valuable contribution to the life of the Mir sailboat, to the development of the industry and the maritime profession. She thanked the Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping for cooperation and raising a worthy generation of young professionals who can proudly carry the flag of the profession of a sailor, and the representatives of Expeditions Under Sail LLC for their warm attitude, respect for maritime traditions and boundless enthusiasm that they charge everyone around.

“We wish you great achievements in future, and let strength of mind and true courage that you show every day never leave you,” Nadezhda Kalashnik said to the guests of the event.

For the second year FSUE “Rosmorport” together with Expeditions Under Sail LLC have successfully realized joint project on the Mir sailboat, where anyone who dreams about sea and fleet can join the cadet sailors, master the theory, climb the masts, stand at the helm and find true like-minded people.

Aleksander Gorobtsov, Director of the Convention Training Department of the Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping, congratulated everyone on behalf of the university with the professional holiday and congratulated FSUE “Rosmorport” on the anniversary date, and gave a present – a picture of the first icebreaker Ermak, built according to Admiral S.O. Makarov's project.

All participants noted the mutual strengthening of cooperation in joint projects on the sailing boat in the field of organization and training of personnel for companies of the maritime industry, popularization of maritime professions, sharing experience between cadets and tutors.
