Albatros liner opens cruise navigation of 2019 in the seaport of Kaliningrad

The Albatros cruise liner that moored at the FSUE “Rosmorport” railway ferry service on June 2, 2019 opened the 2019 cruise navigation in the seaport of Kaliningrad. The liner arrived at the seaport from Szczecin, Poland, and then left for the seaport of Ventspils.

The passenger liner is of 205 meters in length. This is currently the maximal length for vessels that can call at the seaport of Kaliningrad. Over 770 tourists and 334 crewmembers arrived aboard the liner. Sightseeing tours to the historic center of Kaliningrad and to Svetlogorsk have been organized for the guests of the region.

Pilotage and the liner’s mooring to the railway ferry complex have been performed by units of the Kaliningrad Directorate of the FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch.

This summer three more liners are expected to arrive at the seaport of Kaliningrad. Moreover, from June 8, 2019 regular passenger service between Gdansk (Poland) and Baltiysk (Russia) is expected to be resumed. The Agat passenger liner is planned to be used to work at this direction. It is capable of transporting up to 450 passengers. The vessel is expected to performs calls at the seaport of Kaliningrad and moor at the railway ferry complex berth once a week.
