Information on the Seaport of Ust-Luga in the Register of Seaports of the Russian Federation amended

By the order of Rosmorrechflot No. KS-46-r of 10.03.2017 amendments related to the  Seaport of Ust-Luga were included into the Register of Seaports of the Russian Federation

The amendments relate to the explicitation of the basic technical characteristics of the seaport, in particular the capacity of reservoirs for oil and petroleum products storage, as well as food bulk cargo and chemical cargo storage in the seaport of Ust-Luga.

Moreover, the names of a few selected maritime operators in the seaport of Ust-Luga have been specified.

In the seaport of Ust-Luga the North-Western Basin Branch  manages 4 berths with quay walls of nearly 0.95 km in length, which makes up to 10.5% of the total number of berths in the seaport and 13.1% of the total length of the quay wall of all berths in the seaport of Ust-Luga, respectively.

As a result of the first quarter of 2017, a total of 24.4 million tons of cargo that has been handled in the seaport of Ust-Luga, which is 8% more than the result of the comparable period in 2016.

Nearly 0.4 million tons of cargo were processed at the North-Western Basin Branch berths in the Seaport of Ust-Luga in the first quarter of 2017, which amounts to more than 1.5% of the total volume of cargo handling in the seaport of Ust-Luga.
