On December 18, 2023, Pavel Razvorsky, Head of the Navigation and Hydrographic Support Service, and Kim Chang Soo, specialist of the measurement department of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Sakhalin Branch, visited school No. 2 in Korsakov at the invitation of the management of the educational institution.

The purpose of the event is to create interest among schoolchildren for further work in the maritime industry of the country.

Employees of the Sakhalin Branch presented information to schoolchildren of 9-11 grades about the key activities of the Sakhalin Branch in the seaports of the Sakhalin region.

During the meeting, the employees of the branch told the children about the specifics of the functioning of the facilities of the VTS and GMDSS in seaports, about the peculiarities of the hydrographic activities of the branch.

Kim Chang Soo, as a graduate of this school, who studied in the specialty “Hydrography” at the Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping, shared with the students the interesting stories from his experience in the field of hydrography.
