Based on the results of surveying conducted by Rosmorrechflot FSUE “Rosmorport” has received a new certificate No. VTS-3/1-3089-2018 of July 04, 2018 of compliance of the Aniva Bay vessel tracking management system with the requirements of Resolution IMO A.857 (20) and Russia’s Transport Ministry Order No. 226 of July 23, 2015 that are imposed upon VTS of the first category.

Earlier, in 2010 and 2013, the Aniva Bay VTS also successfully underwent surveying on the results of which the enterprise had been issued relevant certificates of its compliance with the existing requirements imposed upon the operation of this equipment.

The Aniva Bay VTS comprises a VTS center located in the seaport of Korsakov and three remotely controlled radio technical posts – the Portovy RTP, the Korsakov RTP and the Korsakov TV RTP.

The use of Aniva Bay VTS will allow vessels to render overall navigation services in its zone of action. Its use will also allow for
- detecting vessels on the approaches toward the zone of action of Aniva Bay VTS, establishing communication with it and receiving data on a ship;
- transmitting navigation, operational and other information to vessels on the initiative of an Aniva Bay VTS operator or at the request of a vessel;
- providing aid to marine navigation;
- organizing and regulating vessel movement;
- controlling vessel movement and their positioning at anchoring stations and single mooring points.

Every year over 18,000 vessels enter the Aniva Bay VTS coverage area, and about 3,300 vessels of them call at the seaport of Korsakov, Oand 500 vessels call at the seaport of Prigorodnoye.
