Sakhalin Branch carries out marine survey in the water area of the seaport of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky

Specialists of the Sakhalin Branch made depth sounding in the seaport of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, in operational waters at Berth No 5, Berth No 6, Berth No 7, and Berth No 8 from March 27 to April 3, 2018.

The works were carried out to check a possibility of safe call at, maneuvering and mooring to the mentioned berths of cruise vessels of up to 250 meters in length and 8.3 meters in draft.

The specified marine survey was made amid the difficult ice situation.

Upon the results of the works the branch’s specialists put a technical report with the sounding board. The report was sent to the captain of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky according to the established procedure, for him to take a final decision on the possibility of safe call at, maneuvering and mooring to the mentioned berths of cruise vessels to Berth No 5, Berth No 6, Berth No 7, and Berth No 8 of the seaport of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
