One of the main activities of the FSUE "Rosmorport" Sochi Branch is the implementation of federal investment programs, as well as the FSUE "Rosmorport" capital expenditure programs aimed at the development of the federal port infrastructure in the Seaport of Sochi.
In this direction, the Sochi Branch in the frame of implementation of the function of the customer-developer has realized the following investment projects aimed at improving of port infrastructure and the quality of the services provided in seaports to ship owners, consignors and other users.

In 2005, the comprehensive overhaul and restoration of the marine passenger terminal building in the Seaport of Sochi were performed. Since its construction in 1955 it has become now the object of cultural heritage and architectural monument of the city of Sochi. The rehabilitation project provided restoration of the building surfaces, sculpted, molded and metal facades, window and door openings of the terminal. During the restoration work the original (author) coloring of the marine passenger terminal building facade and interior decoration have been recreated. Inside the building built-in joinery made of precious wood, the pieces of furniture and interior decoration of the terminal were restored, as well as walls decoration made of artificial marble and ceramics, floor finishing, stucco and wrought iron decor items. As a part of the planned activities of the overhaul a public garden was also landscaped and a fountain in front of the marine passenger terminal building was restored.

In 2006, a modern traffic management system in the Seaport of Sochi was built and put into operation, in order to enhance the safety of merchant shipping in the approaches and the water area of the Seaport of Sochi. Using the Seaport of Sochi VTS control is maintained over the movement of vessels, transmission navigation information to vessels, organization of traffic and providing navigational assistance to vessels in its coverage area.

In 2009, the berth No. 1 in the Seaport of Sochi was overhauled designed for receiving large cruise ships sailing in international voyage, in order to restore the pier supporting structures (piles, girders, beams). During the overhaul the technical and operational characteristics of the berth were restored, in particular: the piles in the underwater and above-water part were reinforced; the capitals were reinforced; the roof slabs, beams cordon, part of anchor rods were restored; a complete replacement of fenders was carried out; a cleaning of the bottom of the operating area of the berth from foreign objects was performed. Implementation of the planned works allowed to extend the working life of the berth No. 1 on safe service of the cruise vessels moored on it entering the Seaport of Sochi.

In 2013, in the frame of realization of the federal program for the construction of Olympic venues and development of Sochi as a mountain resort the following 7 newly built marine terminals in the Seaport of Sochi were put in operation: Adler, Dagomys, Kurgorodok, Lasarevskoye, Loo, Matsesta and Hosta that are intended for docking of passenger vessels and pleasure boats, embarkation and disembarkation of passengers. Marine terminals can handle vessels with length up to 40 meters, maximum draft of 3.6 meters and a seating capacity of 300 people. The capacity of marine terminals Adler and Matsesta allows to serve more than 203 thousands passengers during the navigation, and the remaining five marine terminals are able to accept almost 102 thousand passengers in a single navigation season.
