Employee of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch, being a member of the judging panel, graded young sailors at The Scarlet Sails Contest

Andrey Kravchina, chief specialist of the department of maintenance of engineering and technical means of ensuring transport security of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch, on March 25 took part in The Scarlet Sails sea cadets regional contest, held among young learners of secondary school organizations of the municipal formation Slavyansky District of Krasnodar Krai, as a member of the judging panel.

11 teams from schools in the Slavyansky District competed in solving riddles on marine topics, knitting sea knots, transmitting words with a flag semaphore, and tug of war. The participants also presented emblems made by the children themselves.

At the end of the competition, the champions and prize-winners received diplomas and cups. The Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch presented souvenirs with FSUE “Rosmorport” marks to all teams, and gave memorable gifts to the champion and prize-winners.

Andrey Kravchina, an employee of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch, is the son of Alexander Kravchina, a long-distance sailor, who at the end of the 90s founded the Fregat young sailors' club in Slavyansky District of Krasnodar Krai which is very popular among children. The Scarlet Sails annual regional sea cadets contest is held as a tribute to Alexander Kravchina.
